In Search of Deeper Learning by Jal Mehta and Sarah Fine from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Even though it was written six years ago the book feels especially relevant now as we ask what kind of education young people need for the future and how it connects or does not connect to the system we have had for the past century.
What the Book Club is all ABout
This is not a year long book club or another standing commitment. It is just one book, two chapters, and a one hour conversation. If this experiment is meaningful we will do it again. If not, we will walk away with some new ideas and a good read under our belts.
How it works
We will send you a copy of the book or audiobook if you prefer.
You will read two selected chapters.
We will gather for a one hour conversation that is meant to be light and lively.

Sunanna Chand is the Executive Director of the Reinvention Lab at Teach For America and a nationally recognized voice on the future of learning. With a career spanning startups, philanthropy, and large-scale education networks, she has built a reputation as a dynamic strategist and speaker who challenges audiences to move beyond reform and embrace reinvention. Formerly the leader of Remake Learning, Sunanna brings deep expertise in human-centered design, network building, and racial and economic justice.
